George Orwell once famously wrote, 'All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.'
How true.  He was of course referring to the human race, of which I occasionally admit to being a member.

But as a single father with an entirely precocious three-year-old daughter who will now live with me for most of each year until she decides otherwise, life has become more human than I ever cared to imagine.

And equality doesn't even favour a mention.  Let alone discussing its semantics.
